.....Where are Andrea and Crew, in Niceville, fl.. on saturday clyde my friend at the shows, found out about this show the oh don't laugh ... ok Laugh.. The Mullet festival which draws a said 40,000 to the area for a fun filled weekend here.. some known country entertainment and a booth at the last minute for Up Your Ear.. i spoke with the man in charge Mr. Mason.. and while on the phone mentioned my overwhelming meetings over the summer with masons.. and how my grandfather, was a mason, and my grand mother an eastern star.. he didn't know if there would be space for any more jewelry.. but would get back to me.. so i decided to drive north to I10 and when i got there i stopped to call mr mason back.. i was either driving west to Durango... or east for a last shot at some extra bucks so needed.. Mr. Mason said come on down..( as it turns out.... M. Mason is a Mason.. ) so thanks to the masons.... i'm working.. or the heavens, i would much rather have been nearly in Durango by now but that wasn't in the script quite yet.. and maybe not on this trip at all.. sadly Wally isn't well enough to handle company right now.. and as time goes by , likely they won't want company at all .. so that's that for the hope of ever seeing them .. This was my first time in all these years where it might even b possible .. as it was on my way home to L.A and it wasn't going to be an extra expense.. there's no flying to Durango at 800+ dollars for a ticket.. heck out side of the 2 day drive the gas would be cheeper.. but who has 4 days extra to just drive.. so .. hope Wally feels better soon..as they made it clear i was not welcome.. at this time..

As for us .. were already in Niceville and i have a visitor coming to see us..oh boy.. Believe it or not.. Joe is flying into the airport this afternoon, for a few fun days here in Niceville, This place sounds like a place Sam Champion would point out, on good morning america or something.. and yesterday there was enough rain to broadcast nation wide.. finally got out to do laundry late afternoon..grab a bite to eat and a gallon of milk..

met a woman at the laundry telling me all about BP.. and how her settlement would be coming soon.. she just started talking about it to me out of the blue.. there are signs everywhere lawyers selling there advice to help those in need.. fucking lawyers.. always an opportunity to reap the $$$$ on the backs of the mistreated.. who can't get there dues rightfully without spending more money.. and the cover up on what they did down here. evidently they BP, that is, or whom ever, put something into the oil to make it sink.. so at the bottom of the sea sits oil.. The repercussions of this "well" be everlasting.. and like any story.. u really don't know what's going on unless u go there for ur self.. and who can do that.. i have heard New Orleans is still a mess.. maybe i'll stop there to see for myself when i'm on my way home...hum now that might be interesting..could go for some shrimp with romalade sauce only from there.. will ask my friends Gail and Greg where to go!! i loved it so i bought a case umteen years ago.. it must be great when u remember food from so long ago..

speaking of food looks like i might try some smoked Mullet.. hummm . i report back on that one!!

as for the rest of my day.. gonna clean up around here put laundry away.. get some work done.. apply to a show or 2 and then off to the airport to find a man in a uniform looking much like the pilot!!! so much fun.. check in tonight for the show and change camping sites.. this may not quite cut it for us all.. need room for a tent! hahaha..

be well my friends.. so look forward to finding out how this weekend will turn out.. and finally getting on the road home.. seems so far away.. and yet right around the corner.. the many see u laters a bit more behind me the.. the hellos and welcome home to come.. oh my.. my brightly lit living room the sun shining in .. waking up and knowing where the heck u r..missing all the while the road..

my uncharted future..

good morning readers, just a quick up date and a follow up to yesterdays news.. birmingham is about 5 hours away so they did come from some distance, and met many customers yesterday from farther f=reaches, tennessee, pensecola, oh now there's a story.. evidentially the water down that way was the color of radiator fluid as the oil came in.. and The pres did not swim in the gulf, he was in st andrews bay.. not the same according to that source... don't want to mistaken in my reporting..

as for yesterdays turn out, hot as hell and lots of fun.. i was busy at last.. felt i was on a roll, like the good ol days.. and my two other competitors were most surely unhappy i was there!!! ha haha ha ha ha.. The big tall gooff from georgia and the other coupke from fl. the girl without teeth.. dear good, and her husband.. They're not half the competition as the boys who invaded my teritory in norwalk.. met a writing teacher, that was exciting, expect cindy, will be a new reader.. or at least i hope so.. an amazing woman who road up in one of those electric chairs, having been in a serious car accident some years back.. after being told that she would never do this or that, she proved the doctors and na sayers who's boss, went and got a degree and now teachesliterature, and writing.. another one of us that no has little meaning!!

as for some other funnies the school girls next to me were selling t-shirts and $1 sodas, they kept saying loudly t-shirts $5 dollars, i then looked at the shirts and one said Pleasure island and the second shirt evidently a miss print that said... Please Her Island.., i told them to stop singing $5 becuz that's not what they r selling and instead strt hollering Pleasure Island or PLEASE HER ISLAND ... u pick it.. suddenly they had a crowd buying guess what PLEASE HER ISLAND!!! SHIRTS.. of course the mom's immediately shut that down!!! the girls are probably only 16-17.. what they don't get that...hahahaha so funny.. i bought 4 thought they might make good gifts!!!! personally think i should make a line of panties called Please her island wear.. oh god did i write that!!!! but truly wouldn't it be a great seller, hey there victoria.. her cums a whole new line of undergarments that tells the whole story...

ok off my money making ideas so many so little money to make that happen.. whats in a name.. thats all it takes, and a product can either sell or sit on the shelf.. Like Up Your Ear... it just works..

and i'm off and running more tired each day, wondering if i'll open on time.. hot as hell another day.. at least with this heat i can't tell the difference between the weather and my hot flashes!!! just one long hot spell!! and a gallon of water at a buck a pop from the high schoolers next door..

i'll be driving tomorrow.. lets see how far i get..

love u all

BRAKING NEWS ... Oil On Beach A Big Cover Up... literally... in the covet or night i was informed by a source that BP had truck loads of sand brought in, and covered up all the oil that was remaining on the beach. how many months a go i'm not sure.. when i went to geo get gas yesterday for the little generator i also asked the girl at the little station, as she was a local here and she confirmed the story and added that BP had also hired locals to help clean up the beach of dead animals and sea life which they bagged up and turned in to a truck or trucks and in the middle of the night they discarded the carcasses in black garbage bags at the local dump!!!! evidently a big controversy here.. So I'd say don't eat anything that comes out of the gulf of mexico for years to come.. who knows what else these lying fucks are doing or not doing!!! and out fab government has no issue with saying it's ok or just looking the other way.. I just want to say how sorry i m for the people of this area.. i understand that some workers were paid by BP sums of money, but not all if that a small percentage and the rest are just berely hanging in there...

it was a poor turn out, of qualified buyers yesterday, were the bodies there yes but no one was spending .. i finally did something i never ever do.. i stood out in the isle at a dare from madeline and passed out my cards saying up your ear, earrings check them out ... after spending 50 cards i returned from my wasted effort!! to the booth laughing my ass off.. i was informed that i was not permitted to do that.. i looked at them and said for a 1000$ space and my cheery disposition why not.. the customers were at least having a laugh, but i did notice a lot of glum faces and as i did, would comment no smiling here, and then would get a grin..

Things a tough all around but this has permeated the americans of the gulf shores and surrounding areas, this is just awful.. The customers were nothing more than passer bys.. which is not how it has been in the past.. sales tax incidentally is 10% can u frigging believe that.. and who can afford to buy anything with a tax like that.. heck BP should be picking up that tab.. whats wrong with this picture, here alabama bend over!!!!

as always i ask customers "so where are u from?" the furthest i got was from Birmingham, like an hour or so away.. this is not tourisum this is still , in my opinion, all i have ... local... I have never sen such atitude also from merchants the show promotors of negativity There this under lying anger as though anyone and everyone is responsible for this shit that has gone on down here. just miserable.. If i were them i'd be kissing ass and thanking anyone and everyone for coming to support the show the venders artisans, and the people who've come if not far but come.. and certainly not with a 10% tax..all the rigamorow i went through to get my permit to sell and that city hall crap.. there have to be at least 100 booth that cost $1000. do the math, food venders which are selling shrimp, or at least have it for sale, pay as much as $3500 for a 10 X 10 and most have double spaces so can u imagine how much food they must sell to pay for this endeavor.. Holy crap.. and they don't even have a line in front of their booths so they will also lose the perisables..

and oh god i'm tired!! such a long hot day again a head for the crew and i.. on the bright side Andres helped at clydes booth selling rings and was truly adorable, and of course all the girls just loved him and it was such a great exoerience, his tiny self standing there telling them where the sizes were and helping them to decide which one.. he had so much fun he didnt want to come back to the MH at the end of the night.. madeline and i had a few rushes and made sure to close any chance we go as they r not stopping just crusing by like we are all not there.. so strange heck the charity next to e selling soda for a buck was struggling!!!

ok well let me put my best foot forward and make a day of this debockle.. maybe gleam some new piece of this big cover up down here. just so u know i did step out to touch the sea and be it what it is the ocen here is clear and beautiful though i'd have to wonder if it is safe i don't care if prez and kid swam in it or not.. bet he was in it just long enough to take the shot!!

the sand is like powdered sugar, so white and soft under ones feet, cool, under the touch of my toes, surprisingly under the hot sun.. but no one is on the beach, says something wouldn't u say...

Time to start camping on our lawn, the white house lawn, which in case we've all forgotten ,,,BELONGS TO US THE PEOPLE.. I'm so dam mad about the whole thing.. not becuz i'm not making money but just how they all think we don't get it.. thinking just becuz the education u've been handing out no child left behind .. how about an entire nation left behind.. for years .. just after the vietnam war the gov probably had a meeting on how to control the freedom of it's people and they came up with a plan if u can get them to buy into this story about the american dream being buy a house, both man and wife .. work need 2 cars , and pay out the nose for loans who will have time to march on washington .. no one.. and so it's been.. and when the last event the million man march was,... did they do it again...heck no.. so peolpe they've got us by the balls.. or do they as 10-14% are unemployed there's a fair percentage that could be sleeping on that white house lawn..

ah well again i say to work i go.. think i could get paid to do this.. id love that, just srite take photos, drive.. do art.. of any and all kinds.. oh please.. look forward to going home and reforming myself.. hahahaha sure!!

love always andrea and crew bless their hearts, they have been very good really this week and weekend so far, count our blessings..amen

every day a challege, yesterday when i arrived to set up after driving 3 days to the great state of alabama, i discovered my space was consiterably less dissireable than what i'd expected . and having been here for a few years out side of last year, my mother was dieing.. so couldnt make it, i lost my standing i guess and was shoved to the end of a deserted row near the band stand, the last space on earth anyone would want, certainly me. They begged me to stay.. and give it a chance.... by 2pm i was back at the volunteers desk, this wont do i've taken in $42.. and it was the girl Tammy who"s in charge of the area my booth's in.. so i decided i could could leave and be depressed, or i could stay, leave on monday, depressed and exhausted, decided the later wasn't worth it and told them just write me the check, i'm not staying... guess what, they found me a better spot... a much better spot... and i packed the whoole thing up and dollied it over to my new space reset up, now the second week in a row of setting up packing up moving the whole shit load of the booth, and redoing it all over again... This is not a normal practice but what must be done must be done.. so after what was the best crowd day ever in the history of the shrimp fest , evidently, the crowd thinned as i moved my booth between 2pm and 4pm, and reset up in the ultimate heat of the day... dripping wet now looking oh so pretty,, i was off to yet a second start, informed in no uncertain terms that as i choose to move there would be absolutely no refund now... Dah wtf if i choose to move that must be it, i would so much rather work for my investment than to pack up now and go home after my enormous effort to get to this, what might have been a disaster show, GULF SHORES, the oil spill, for those who watch the news...

so catching my breath, put up lights and bingo... if u build it they will come.. if u happen to be in the right spot, and i thankfully sold a bit and though yesterday was a loss.. i did get a few bucks in my purse, and will joyfully go out there and make it a great one today..

my road this summer has been about something other the money, as it turns out i certainly left with the thought that was what i was searching for, and certainly i was going to have it all, as it turned out, so far.. my profits have been in relationships, friendships old and new, cant wait to pay the rent with that..!!! but i shant knock it.. all the money in the wold can not buy u friendships, love or happiness so it is said, maybe some comfort, but little else.. ease, which i might not complain about, though i complain little.. i am most fortunate.. and will get my rewards for the rest of this weekend and i will go home.. figure out what ver it is i'm to do to bring in an income when i return to L.a i have an art project i've wanted to do for 20yrs having never given up on the hope i would someday do so.. i know not only will i be satisfied to do the work , but feel a new way to earn a living doing what i love shall be the out come.. and i cant wait to get started.. not to say that earrings aren't my life's work but another avenue must be ridden on like Worth Ave.. one of my favorite streets!!! Park ave wouldn't be so bad either!!! as for this moment in time pacific ave where i set up shop.. will do for the weekend.. and then onwards and up wards, a gradual hill like the drive here this week.. taking me ever carefully to my next destination..

The sun is shinning promising a hot southern day in the shores of the gulf, the sea glistening, under its bright warm rays, as my many northern friends find after a week a little sunshine.. hahahaha.. i will don.. my flowy little cotton dress let the breeze flow up it and sell, sell, sell!!!!!! wonder what funny thing i will say today.. oh just one thing before i go.. yesterday morn a woman came into my booth and was looking for some little balls, meaning studs, either way.. i told her no, so sorry i was looking for bigger balls.. it went over her head!!! so if anyone knows where i can find some big balls or studs just let me know!!!i make earrings that go UP YOUR EAR!!!! oh another funny in the afternoon after i reset up.. a woman from the city, i'd spoken to over he phone came by to met me especially ...when we'd spoken she needed to confirm my e-mail address.. so she spelled it out over the phone like this..... u-p-y-o-u rear@ i said no thats not my e-mail address it's u-p-y-o-u-r ear.. well it was so funny i'd repeated it a few times... and when she came by, she told me that she'd had more fun telling that story than any other in quite some time and that a many others got a good laugh.. wow.. it was a pleasure to meet phyillis, and may the laughs con't..

keep up the smiling, the sun is shinning..

and i am off to work, becuz i owe i owe..

and have a hungry crew to feed, that non existant child support just wont cut it..

best in my dearests days, may the trees stand tall, but leave a clear view to the sea, endless possibilities..
