here i am Alabama, after 3 days of driving..and what a wonderful drive, for the sake of just driving, the rythum of the road, the flow in and out of traffic, light on I85, a smooth road, curving ever just right, and left, up and down gentle hills, the clear skies, berely a cloud, ever changing terrain, just a snipid of whats to come as i drive monday towards the west. Now in a new time zone the reality that this trip is coming to a conclusion, 2 days a go sad about that, and now a little reality as i know home is just around the corner, trying hard to imagine what it will be like to stand in a real shower, freely letting warm water run, a door to shut, a real bed to sleep in, a kitchen to cook in, a sink that actually fits dishes i can wash tomorrow, a refidgerator that fits more than a gallon of milk. all that and i will still miss my motor home the road, the wonderful summer i will never forget a life time.. my relationships along this journey, the hellos and see ya laters, as good bye seems way to final....
i set up the booth yesterday to my dismay the truly worst space in the show, at the end of a row, nearest the band stand where i look forward to shouting over loud music, in order for my customers to here what hysterical thing i might have to say, in the moment, and a chance to tell them all about my wonderful earrings, and how great they look in them if they can hear me.. fortunately i've been acussed of being loud and to try and keep it down, guess this is what god gave me such a big mouth for!!!!
bracing myself and the crew for what will be a hell of a weekend 10-10 thur, fri, sat, sun, pack it up and head west to see the most amazing people on the planet, Gleb and Wally, Durango here i will be coming.. west on I10.. north on 25, till i hit 550.. and that mesa which i can already picture the endless vistas.. different in each direction as i turn 360..
so my trip is not over nor my blog as of yet, still a few more days to write, my favorite things, ophra u havent anything on me.. my favorite things are not in stores, can't be found on shelves, in iles anywhere, just the sun on my face, the clear blue sea, the sight of the mountains, the feel of the road under my seat, a vibrating... a hum, as madeline and i sing.. to the radio.. or a cd she just made up as we are driving.. and andres as i break my rule and let him sit between us, for a moment just to be close..
say a prayer i really need to do well this weekend, im off to work.. a positive mental attitude = other peoples money, and i hope in my pocket, and to pay those i owe, so i desperately want to pay..
ALABAMA AND GULF SHORES LOOK OUT HERE WE COME, SHRIMP FESTIVAL.. MAY THE SHRIMP BE GOOD THE CUSTOMERS PLENTIFUL AND THEIR POCKETS FILLED WITH MONEY THEY CANT WAIT TO SPEND!!! AND TO BP... IT BETTER BE!! SHORES ARE CLEAN AS IS THE SEA.. SO LLETS JUST SEE!!!!!
be well my fans, readers where u may all be.. and to all my loves
a great day, may ur phone batteries last!!!

Monday, 4 October 2010
well at last me and my blog... so much to try and catch up with i hardly know where to begin..drove a long day up from virginia beach, with the crew and Cassie with whom i met up with in virginia bch.. she had just flown into there to visit with her sister, and on her way to L.A Truly can u imagine.. this seems to be the most extraordinary journey, so after my most disappointing show of the trip, the one where the pot of gold is, no rainbow.. need i say more...
in fact it was so hot, i refrain, from swearing.. what control!!!! i thought the aqua blue dress, to the floor, of cotton, was a 30 gallon garbage bag, with no chance for a breeze to even wonder up my skirt, i broke down and picked up 3 little cotton lose fitting dresses from Clyde, guilty i spent a penny... we were in for a long hot few days.. friday just sucked, oh.. could bearly think, and anyone who would dry clean their cloths wouldn't be out there in that heat, only the laundering crowd, and i'm of that persuasion, right now, i couldn't buy my earrings either.. shit.... the dwindling middle class. From what i understand the arts section might have faired a little better, so i'll just try that route next time.. or maybe not..
on to saturday, HOT ... HOT thank god i got the dresses! Cassie worked for Ed for the weekend, knew that would be fun, she stepped into his booth an acted her way through the whole weekend. what a riot..
i had a lot of great banter with the customers saturday.. especially over the no cursing signs which shamefully i did not even get a photo of.. what's wrong with me.. just imagine a sign that's in a circle and in the circle is #4%66^^%$*$@ if u get my drift.. hysterical.. more laughs were had over saying shit fuck god dam it. than can be told!! i think under the times those that are really good resort to the only harmless thing we can do, which is to swear.. better than knocking someone off just because ur frustrated about the currant economical time.. great time to refocus, find another way..
as for sunday.. it started out cold, and ended raining and that was that, now for monday.. Cassie arrived in the rainy morning to drive with the crew and i to maryland where i was booked for a fun festival in Fells Point.. aren't they all fun.. Maryland where i was to also meet up with another friend, on tuesday..eve.. Joe who we'd (the crew and I) rendezvoused with in rhode island a few weeks back... whom i'd met in Sweetwater campground, over the summer, just the day of my last show, in Hyannis, in fact that sunday night he'd dropped by the campsite with a beer in hand and a smile...i'm thinking his car has never seen so many miles.. as i was not long for Sweetwater and the cape by that time.. and now this..
tuesday we had many a chore laundry, groceries, and i needed desperately to get my nails done way over due, by a month..
and that was a fiasco.. i stopped into a nail salon near the laundry mat and ended up with a pedicure instead of a and fill..in fact in the unairconditioned sweat box of a salon they got half way through and couldn't finish the nails as i wanted something way out of their league, so i helped wrap up the laundry deal and drop off crew and Cassie and run to yet another nail salon whilst Joe was driving 10 hours to maryland to see us.. and i would now not be there, at the camp he'd made reservations at for the crew and i.. on time... You might say i was fashionably late!!!!
Ah a beer in the night sky, under a canopy of trees, perfectly set near to the facilities, large enough for his tent, something i'm getting used to seeing out side my coach window now, as this would be the 3rd time.. in some weeks to see this him very
diligently put it up in yet the dark night again!! and that eve over conversation he presented me with a.. beautifully wrapped gift, the paper a map, tied up with back shinny ribbon, and bow.. oh oh.. who cares whats in the box as long as it's wrapped up.. under that flawlessly wrapped package was a GPS.. just what a girl really needs on the road, only days ago i'd said i might have to break down and buy..
as Cassie was here we could actually make plans to do something, one on one.. and so Joe made reservations!!! for a hotel and a restaurant, oh my dinner and drinks.. over looking a the harbor in annapolis, cloth on the tables.. when we arrived to the hotel i had a chance to take care of some needed business as my credit card terminal had failed the weekend before, and i needed a phone line to down load all my transactions from the weekend, and the entire conversation with technical support was just a riot. he intently watched and listened to me as i worked out all their problems " no it's not that way it's my way!" and i did get my way.. nearly an hour later.. we showered, oh in a real shower, the first i'd been in, in so many months..
i wore a dress i'd picked up in the cape a month back that's i'd worn to Hyannis art show, which would remind u of something Audry Hepburn might have worn if it were these times, dark gray, squared off neck line, perfect size 2 .. they had certainly made a mistake on that.. all my jewelry.. including earrings.. Up Your Ear.. and off to dine.. Joe in a very nice gray jacket, nice shirt and pants.. something we hadn't seen each other in, as we have only been at campgrounds, who knew we could dress!!!
Thursday morning we awoke to the pouring rain, in Annapolis.. some dreadful coffee, and slowly got our selves ready for the tour of the town.. rain or shine as the show must go on.. this rain was the remnants of Nicole.. so it wasn't too cold.. as we know that is an issue for me.. cold that is.. rain.. well i wont melt, and evidently Joe doesn't melt in the rain either, we walked and talked and stopped into stores, after a nice breakfast. later went on to Fells Point, to see what that was all about, a beer, and back to camp.. to find all had survived the rainy day and night..
and it would con't to rain.. dear god he had to sleep out in a tent in the rain.. it was just awful.. and cold.. we sat that night under the awning of the coach, Cassie, he and i , with a beer, watching the rain, pour down around us.. great conversation, and Cassie was so funny we all had a great time.. whatever the weather..
friday we ran errands, if i recall, Cassie, Joe and the crew threw in my wet booth set up in the wash while i got a quick trim at a near by solon, as i was also in desperate need of that.. and sat up early Joe and i drove down to the show.. and set up.. he returned with my van to camp.. Cassie got some alone time while Joe took the crew on a hike, over the paths in the park, and evidently one scary swinging bridge.. we all had yet another great time and as it turned out the show proved to be good on saturday.. now if it would only hold true for sunday..
Sunday Cassie and i went to the show, quite early again and she was to meet up with a life long friend, and i to work.. sadly it was cold and bitter and evidently the Ravens have a huge following, so much so that no one showed up to the show and it was just the worst day ever followed by Rain, cold bitter rain, and i packed up all my booth wet again!!!!
Joe and crew went to Washington, the museum of natural history, where he stayed the day long with the crew, having taken the metro which in it self was a thrill from what i gathered from the crew!! oh they had such a good time.. Cassie and i arrived back late, to burgers, baked potatoes, and a fully fed crew.. a dream come true for me.. another rainy night and a beautiful man, to sleep yet again in a wet cold tent.. now if that's not sportsmanship, what is.. and cheery as can be!!
Cassie was to be here for the duration of the trip but as is life things can change and she felt a quick arrival to L.A would be better so on monday she was off to BWI and the crew and i are on our way to Alabama, and Joe to the cape... and more sweet so longs and till we meet again..dam this good bye stuff is never ending, as are the hellos... but so less sweet..i've learned to just hold my breath.. try not to cry.. and get a move on.. down the road.. with my new GPS and the love of friends.. where ever it is i and crew go..
now up this morn in the flying j parking lot.. as evidently there are no campgrounds along this corridor.. and a late drive getting here too. as Joe drove his 10 hrs plus back to Cape Cod and dropped Cassie off at the motel near the air port for her departure to L.A today..
lastly i want to mention.. as always there is something that comes up, nearly out of diesel i prayed for a station, my legs shaking in the dark of the night as i do not like the dark, much less drive in it.. as we pulled into the mobil, station there was an open trailer with a huge larger than life statue of a mosaic mirrored horse.. so tremendous i had to grab the camera, and take pix as i filled my bone dry tank with fuel.. moments later to speak to the driver about his unusual cargo.. as it turned out they are from mexico and on there way to New York for a circus.. Circus Vazquez.. which i must look up.. and Chris, the very polite man told us of his destiny.. all excited to know i would be writing this into my blog today.. can not wait to down load the pix for u all to see.... ah so all this and many reasons are why i am glad to wake up every morning, an adventure a round every corner should u choose to see it that way.. and i do so wonder what is to come today.. as i drive the hell out of the day, the crew and i and now Betty, the gps...
with all my love to my readers, my friends .. have as marvelous day, as we..

oh my so many days have past how will i be able to catch u all up on my many adventures, my short stay at battle row camp ground, moms b day a past, and on monday morn on my way if u will to virginia beach..
what i may skip is my amazing sunday night or really early monday surprise, a visit from a friend who truly is nuts, evidently well established, and in the works to prove it, arrived for a beer and a cup of coffee, and a sweet send off to my next leg of this road trip, a life lesson in traveling through our days, less ordinary than we can ever imagine.. i am so grateful for that.. thanks to the heavens for not one plain day..
and Monday was no exception.. driving across the George Washington Bridge for the first time and in the affordable direction south bound, as they hit u for the toll going north and with the coach and tow vehicle it costs over $30. can u imagine that.. oh lest get into tolls in a bit, because have i got a gripe about that one, these fucking states and what they charge for roads and bridges is ridiculous, well heck lests just address this now.. a car costs $3. and motor home, my itty bitty motor home, and van can run $12. are they out of their minds... i really am over this shit.. well my math and theirs, don't meet up, is all i can say...
ok onto the next thing.. a year or more ago i first stopped in georgia, at this beautiful campsite heading to the north and met a guy named Pete, who was also driving a similar coach, he gave me some pointers and things to be aware of a i was driving , one of which was about the intake hose .. and that if for any reason i were to lose power suddenly it would most likely be that, but the majority of instances happen before 10,000 miles, as i am at 16,000 miles i was fee and clear,, well not so fast... just over the bridge, and into new jersey.. i suddenly can not cruse at anything but 40mph.. oh crap ... i new immediately ... maybe the fuel filter, but most likely the hose... pulled over to figure this all out, at or before exit 10.. and when in new jersey, for those in the know or not know we refer to our location by exits... and really only in new jersey do we do that, although i now do it for many other states , they're not that dum in new jersey.. even if they cant drive and only make right turns even when going left!!!! gotta have driven there to know how ridiculous that is... i was as always blessed with a miracle just 6 miles away would be a frieghtliner repair place, where once i got them on the phone a short time later the fellow on the phone PJ, which with traffic going by, trucks and the like i kept saying wha'st ur name TJ? no Pj huh Tj? no i'm not hard of hearing.. well maybe i am...
and what a delightful cheery fellow as i walked into the service area there he was.. handsome with a smile from ear to ear... I know who u r... and we were off to a great start.. i love my life!!! i unhooked the van and they brought i around back to give it a little look under the hood.. ooo la laa!! i sat in the chair in the waiting room, then a panic i should be with my coach lets just see what these fellas are up to.. so requested i go back, while standing in front of a sign 3 x 4 feet that says" NO CUSTOMERS BEYOND THIS POINT INSURANCE PURPOSES" why sure let me take u back, i conversed with Jack as he did his thing looking for the problem, and they actually listened to me when i said it was the hose,... go New Jersey men.. the first i've found that would consiter womans diagnosis a possiblity.. and not waist time proving they're so smart and waisting time and my money to do it.. we had a great time.. he was a very nice man also.. later to be visited by Pj and to find he's been recently divorced.. he was the happest young man.. beaming in fact.. and Jack gave me a little bit into his story, and the high school cheerleader he'd married that was a huge snob, and later had packed on the wieght!! and was so alful to him.. i pray a dream girl comes into his life and gives him more love than he could ever expect in a life time or two..
and my couch was fixed i got so lucky they had the right hose, and they changed the fuel filter, checked the oil and transmission fluid.. and i was off down the road way too late to get far.. made it to Delaware where madeline found us a state park to stay in. after dark.. oh and when we got there there were no sites with electric, i didn't have gas for the hondas generator and it was so dark i was not a happy camper.. i don't like the dark that much, maybe at all.. and i even missed the sign for the camp with no lights to even illuminate the sign.. and drove out of my way2-3 miles till i could find a place to turn around..
ah well a new day is a dawning and off i go, a quick text with the traffic report, at 8:30am after a quickie, conversation, with a friend on the phone earlier, i had to get moving grabbed my, coffee in a cup and in it cup holder and off i was running.. not so fast there my dear, first off the device which indicates my brakes are working correctly is not working the brakes are the device isn't.. then i blew a fuse.. oh no not that do u know how many fuses r in this rig and how many places one might have to look? and so then my camera which shows me my van behind is out.. oh .. come on shit fuck, god dam it.. i just want to drive... so i stopped at a auto zone.. with help from a black man named of all things BINGO.. and who can make this shit up!! i'm not kidding, and my friend joe, texting me not the fuse box under the seat the other one i figured the whole thing out cursing up a storm as Bingo was laughing his ass off .. glad to know he was not the only one who had issues with trying to get the little fuses out and back in!!! oh i did it.. and now was off a gain down the road.. delaware maryland, maddie manning the map.. so we need to go down east side of maryland find the road.. wasn't her day either we ended up on the 301 , not the 50 which would have take us on a much more scenic route .. and so it was after i screamed a bit at the time lost and the extra gas spent the cd playing we sang and made up... when we finally got near to Virginia , called ed to get the final destination.. and we drove on 64 east to 664, east and 264 and every frigging 64 highway there was, in circles around norfolk, the tunnels which there are two of i saw three times.. and i don't like tunnels that well either, running under water.. in such small quarters, trucks too close.. ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
after , screaming my head off in the rig at a gas station getting diesel as i was bone dry.. a very nice woman in a paramedics truck came over and asked if she could help, her hand reached out and touched mine... and a calm came over me like none other.. it was like magic, or my angels there.. i truly believe she was an angel..i grabbed a piece of paper and asked maddie for a pen, oh but no she handed me a sharpie, what i couldn't have a normal ball point pen, and my angel handed me one.. they looked up my address destination, and after driving around randomly, for well over 2 hours, we were at the Moose lodge .. at long last..30 minute later calm and with a beer, so needed!!!
we departed fro m the Moose lodge where they have minimal parking for rvs, to the beach.. yesterday, set up and am preparing for a great, long few days, friday, sat 10 -11, sunday 10- 8 and then pack up.. it is said to be hot and i have little doubt this will be a brutally hot weekend, i was so wet yesterday.. how does anyone live here. i was melting into the night.. and now this morns early cool breeze against my dampened cloths, is now searing already.. the boys in jets established the time at 8 am the first jet to take off from the air force base not far from here, practicing touch and goes, from what i understand.
everyone i've known in the biz is here this weekend, and the meetings and greetings was just great.. u know what i find truly amazing, i make such an impression on the phone that when i meet the people...i have spoken with, they are so excited to put a face to the personality they'd spoken to.. like PJ... and then John, the promotor of the show.. the minute he saw me before i'd said a word, he said i know who u are!!!! can u imagine.. to funny.... did i mention, i love my life.. oh boy i cant wait to go to work today!! god give me all i need to bare the heat, and the strength to stand all those hours.. its so hot i will not need to pee all day, no matter how much i drink!!
keep the kids cool and fed, the beach, my back yard, behind the booth, lots of sunscreen.. a blanket for the cool eve and some beach chairs to rest in, as the night comes, an my future, tired crew lay to rest their heads till days end, late for us all, but especially them..
so say a prayer i'm on ,my last leg of this tour, the money well needed...
i miss u all... be well and heck could u people write to me and let me know how the hell u are.. i can not write to all i have on this long list that's why i started this blog, so u could get an up date .. and u could write to me ur adventures stories or what not.. i expect to have some mail in my inbox by monday......... thats final...
andrea and crew!!!!!!
with all our love and gratitude for the support of friends and family..

ok onto the next thing.. a year or more ago i first stopped in georgia, at this beautiful campsite heading to the north and met a guy named Pete, who was also driving a similar coach, he gave me some pointers and things to be aware of a i was driving , one of which was about the intake hose .. and that if for any reason i were to lose power suddenly it would most likely be that, but the majority of instances happen before 10,000 miles, as i am at 16,000 miles i was fee and clear,, well not so fast... just over the bridge, and into new jersey.. i suddenly can not cruse at anything but 40mph.. oh crap ... i new immediately ... maybe the fuel filter, but most likely the hose... pulled over to figure this all out, at or before exit 10.. and when in new jersey, for those in the know or not know we refer to our location by exits... and really only in new jersey do we do that, although i now do it for many other states , they're not that dum in new jersey.. even if they cant drive and only make right turns even when going left!!!! gotta have driven there to know how ridiculous that is... i was as always blessed with a miracle just 6 miles away would be a frieghtliner repair place, where once i got them on the phone a short time later the fellow on the phone PJ, which with traffic going by, trucks and the like i kept saying wha'st ur name TJ? no Pj huh Tj? no i'm not hard of hearing.. well maybe i am...
and what a delightful cheery fellow as i walked into the service area there he was.. handsome with a smile from ear to ear...

365 days ago today i arrived in L.A. it seems so long ago, and like yesterday all at then same time. I spent my day today straightening up, for my little celebration.. my mom's birthday, where in sept on the 19th of the year 1929, she was born in valley stream n.y.. not far from where i sit, as i write a last..
i could hear her voice, or feel her in me yesterday as i called the electric company to pay the bill, as i read off the numbers of the account, and my phone # one of my inherientces... so if anyone wanted to keep in touch they could, even if a year from now some one called i could be the one to break it to them, she had passed.. as i answered the phone Roots Place.. for all to know it was still her place, and now mine.
i'd just driven 5 days straight to arrive, in l.a. 500 miles day one, 650 the next 700 wed.. 800.. thursday.. a little glitch slowed me down a day, friday, arriving early saturday morning.. where there were all the troops a waiting for miss Root to arrive from the nursing home.. it wasn't going to well and as my arrival was a complete surprise, only Lisa knew, and by wed Cassie knew, and met me there, at the Hayworth hilton, aka Roots Place, There must have been 50 friends there, and as i came in.. i didn't remember no one knew i was coming.. and one person after another completely stunned greeted me, with loving arms, embraces i can still feel, and today wish i did.. if i could have one day back this would be it.. my mother arrived .. with all the courage one person could muster.. she'd had such a terrible day.. but you'd have never know it when princess Derujinsky arrived.. more beautiful than ever.. dressed to the 9's.. and the look in her eyes when she set eyes on me.. a deep knowing that she was going to be ok.. that her dear daughter me, was there.. and for the moment.. she was happy.. i have beautiful pictures to add to this blog.. of mom that day, simona took some of the best.. the day was so beautiful inside and out.. and moms party began.. and no one loved a party more than she.. hell she arranged it!! naturally.. she held curt, crossed legged on her perch, as i sit that way right now. tall , back straight, head held high her long neck.. for the many i knew there were so many others i would just meet that day to now be friends, of which i treasure, and for those that i haven't heard from ..no worries, i will be there soon enough.. to embrace our friendship, and hug u all again .. i miss u all very much..
so many birthdays of my moms i missed.. countless really.. i was always working .. at the swing of my road trip, as i am now.. just a call and a wish that her party would be great, and knowing i was missing the best fun of all, there was not a party recalled by guests that wasn't wonderful and she would love the next day to discuss the goings on she had missed!!! the music playing, Devora singing, roseanne a laugh .. and candles everywhere, as always.. was there ever a day when there weren't candles? and wax the next day to clean up.. mom loved the next day.. she would never do dishes at night ,,she'd beg u to not to clean them.. leave them, and the next day she loved cleaning up.. the party, the cups, and plates, the ashtrays, with who ever managed to be left over to chat about everything.. and then what happened!! so much fun..
so as i think of miss root, i can be assured that i am again missing a great party.. naturally, sitting here, with so many interesting events through out my wonderful summer, turned fall.. i feel as though unlike any other time i was talking to her as if on the phone.. had a nice chat with her as i ran down to the store to pick up cake.. she was quite clear, as she answered me, what her plan was, as though my life weren't my own!! and i asked to give me a sign.. she did but its a secret!!
so i texted some of my dear friends, and the text r returned and calls r a coming in.. and when will i be back...
